>>7888480Uhhhh. Hear me out. I NEVER liked Playmobil. I didn't have any of it as a child, and never really liked the look of the figures....BUT, I'm a dad now, and I've grown VERY fond of the series. Personally, I love the historical stuff like Romans/Egyptians/Pirate/Castle. Their products are quite durable and well made. While the entire appearance is simplistic and 90% of the colours are actually molded plastic, there's truly a large amount of attention to detail and accessories that come with most sets. What makes it more appealing to me now vs. when I was a child, is the fact that the figures and accessories are more detailed today, with varying facial expressions and clothing/weapons. They also don't shy away from guns or depicting topics that people might find offensive, like a first nations person in full eagle headdress (cliché), and Pirate figures that seem to be slaves or captives.
Their products are just a pleasure to hold and interact with. The plastic is strong, thick and high quality. You know you're getting something that had love put into its production. I recently picked up this roman warrior ship, and I'm keeping it for me. It's cool AF. This is coming from a MASSIVE LEGO fan.
And yeah, the Ecto 1 they put out is dope. I'll be getting the Delorean to match it for sure.
