The first thing to consider is countershading. Most prey animals (deers, impala, moose, etc) who live in the wild is countershaded one way or another. Ceratopsian bones have been found in plenty of T-rex fossilized poop, so it make sense to countershade all these animals. Then the shading pattern can also be guesstimated (pic related). Some ceratopsians who live in jungly areas can be more countershaded than others.
Here's one thing they can't be, blue as an acid trip like the Torosaurus. I understand that you need to strike a balance between selling toys that stand out on a shelf vs. drab looking realistic dinosaurs. A kickstarter with 25 different kind of brown antelopes will not get funded
