Yeah, rotating it just affects the way your gallery displays it whereas editing it in the proper orientation keeps it that way regardless of how your gallery shows.

And I can confirm he's supposed to come with a stand which plugs into his back underneath the cape.

Which hand are you using to grip the guitar? It's kind of finicky but iirc the guitar fits best with the face pointing towards his body on the hand withthe weird bulge on the palm.
