I suppose the hurdle is the program, and the knowledge to design the element graphics.
the awesome part (pun?) is that the tech is exactly what Lego uses, so it's virtually identical if you match the styles correctly
the only limit now is the hair pieces and colors. anime characters might be outta luck, but any regular-type-person should be close-enough!
