That means you need to engineer your lighting angles to make the planes of their faces stand out--just like a portrait photographer--and watch your exposure.
Like, in that Deku photo, it looks like you lit him basically head-on with a direct light. Lighting him diagonally or turning his head a bit might have generated a stronger shadow around his nose. In addition, this photo is a little overexposed. You're losing details in the gloves, his freckles have vanished, and the whites of his eyes and teeth are practically indistinguishable from his skintone. See how all these things are clearly distinguishable in the Figma promo shot? tl;dr: change up how you do your lighting, and maybe change your camera's settings as well. Just upping either the shutter speed/f-stop/ISO a bit would compensate for so much brightness.
