-Things look better as you add coats. Pic related is probably like 4 coats. Different methods, but it's coming together. Might add some more tomorrow and see if I can get an acceptable result.
-retarder makes a huge difference. More forgiving on mistakes. Did about 1:10 retarded to thinner mix/water
-I premixed some flow aid in a 1:4 ratio of flow aid to water. Also made a difference. Paint can be thinner without running too bad. Nice.
-once you are at a good thin ratio, less paint is more. So I dipped the tip and tapped the side and it helped a fair amount.
I'm suspicious that this paint may be a little weird now. I notice that in all of my paint areas... The paint seems to be separating and turning into a light center pool with a dark ring. Is that normal? Thinking of picking up a different color tomorrow to screw with. Also maybe some matte medium since I haven't used it yet.
