BUT, it isn't just the dots, there are actual paint apps underneath what they're supposed to be "enhancing" (highlights, shading). I guess this is why i didn't notice them.
>>5758589Those paint issues are apparently just the benday dots. Like on HArley's lips, you can count the little dots, which makes it look like paint slop, because the lips underneath are fully painted with a pad or masking.
Later figures are being more heavy handed with the dots than the earlier ones, but they at least haven't gone full retard like Bandai did by skipping real paint apps altogether and sculpted detail.
