>>9169587Snake Eyes works when it's written down on paper, but live action or even cartoon? Nope.
>You have so many fucking characters.Like i said, Hasbro/Hollywood is working with an existing series, and they want to use the most iconic characters and settings in the series.
IF they did their own original take, you'd bitch. If they didn't choose the most iconic characters, you'd bitch. No matter they can do, you'd bitch.
I mentioned this in one of those threads where zoomers don't understand how long "SJW" has been a thing, but imagine if Hasbro just did a movie based on the 70s GI Joe? Endless screeching, because it'd just be a multi-cultural team of explorers and hazard workers fighting the weather to reach a poor family who fell down a crevasse while on a road trip in Alaska just when a super volcano exploded thanks to a solar storm that also knocked out all electricity in the world.
Hasbro isn't allowed to do anything differently and must follow along your very specific nostalgia as best as they can. If they need to make a "shallow" change, it's better than doing the Adventure Team or have it starring Quick Kick and Spirit to fight their archnemesis Storm Shadow (fuck the 80s cartoon) if they really really needed to use non-white characters.
Seriously, the 80s cartoon was brain rot and i'd rather rewatch all the GI Joe movies than put up with that retardedness.
>Movie defense force, who would've thought. That's funny, because i never saw any of the movies in theaters nor paid a single cent for the DVDs, because why would i support something i don't like? I'll probably do the same shit for this movie, unless one of the trailers shows more promise or the movie has good word of mouth.
Just because i can offer the rationale behind Hollywood and Larry Hama doesn't mean I support this shit.
