I have extreme autism and if I spent 10 hours on a kit and then notice one detail I don't like I'll just instantly feel out of it and refuse to do any more work.
I'm ok with having to fill gaps in and doing modifications but if one detail isn't modelled in the way I'm happy with it's dropped. This is assuming that there isn't any photo etch obviously and yes, I'm too uncreative and unskilled to scratch build my own parts.
It's one reason why I'm burnt out on scale models and don't do it anymore.
