>>9841018>>9841293Ammo Mig had what was probably the best guide on "Russian greens" over years. Search for "Mysterious russian green" leaflet. Pic related.
>>9841049This one pic is not the best reference for brand new vehicles, BTRs here are old, rusted and obviously faded.
>>9841290Basically: 4BO (all the WW2 vehicles) - gunze H/C 511 is da best. Note that pre-WW2 Soviets had green clusterfuck of several AU, 3B and ЗЗ colors but who cares about BTs and T-26s anyway? Not me, lmao.
Post-WW2 Soviets had about 3 or 4 green colours. Gunze H/C 512 would be purrfectly noice for 1980 tanks, think Fulda Gap and shiet, but for lots of vehicles it is way too brown-ish. Gunze 309 or 405 would be a suitable alternative. Or 511 indeed.
The biggest pain in the ass: modern Russian green. The HЦ1200 one dark green. Have seen plenty of it IRL - and this son of a bitch changes shades just in a matter of seconds, like stated here:
>>9841293Besides it looks very dull and boring on 1/35 without modulations.
Still experimenting on what colour to use. AK Real Colour variety of russian greens are total shit and off the correct hue. AK and AMig acrylics got it more or less correct. As for the Tamiya/Gunze, I am leaning towards using XF-61 or XF-70 as base and mixing it with shiet to suit references better. No idea what Gunze number to use.
