BOTH legs become his tail - they slide out of the hip joint and hang behind his body, so they contribute no mass to the snake head at all. The arm pylons are thinner than Colada's robot legs, which also slims him down significantly; the reason the head looks segmented from the hood is because they were going for realism - a cobra's hood is its upper ribcage, and starts below its actual neck, while Colada's starts at the corners of his mouth for some reason and makes his head look fatter and fused to his body. Considering the size class difference (Colada's a Deluxe, while Night Viper is only a Basic, roughly around the size of a modern Core class), Night Viper is the more impressive of the two.
