Bill Blurr had a bit on it back in the late 90s telling people to stop sending him shit because it was either going to waste away or he was just going to sell it so you might as well give him gift cards or money, later on he was having to make it clear that was a joke and while he appreciated all the money and gift cards he rather they just come to his shows. There are a lot of people out there that need a master to pay tribute too
