The compressor you linked to there is also commonly available with a tank, with the tank being slightly larger than the compressor itself. Not a huge thing.
Can't say I'm a fan of Vallejo's primer. Too rubbery, so it won't sand well and any damage makes the whole thing want to peel off. If my dear Tamiya primer rattlecans won't do I go for Stynylrez/Ultimate primer instead. Seems to work ok with a brush too.
