I think the Transformers brand has stagnated in general, it's approaching 40 and it's been stuck in a rut for at least a quarter of that. It's like a music artist that is just repeating their greatest hits. It might be time to move on. The problem is that a new mecha franchise like it would be immediately murdered in the cradle by a variety of factors. One of which being Hasbro strangling it by absorbing more shelf space or finding a way to make the creators endure legal hell. Toy boomers like me will probably have a mild interest from afar at best. If any toys make it out they will be overpriced, quickly preventing it from reaching the hands of kids, which should be the core audience. Or the toys would be Cyberverse-tier slop. Not to mention all the networks and FCC garbage to wade through. Wish I wasn't such a doomer about this. When it comes to mecha in the US, Transformers is essentially the only game in town. If only a Brave type franchise was able to thrive here.
