And the Halo license is a very large property that costs more too. It could be cheaper now that it's been ditched by so many and there's a hole in Japanese licensings, hence a small company like 1000 toys taking it up.
As for Squaresoft's PAKs being stylized, it's not intentional, but just the way they're engineered. Just reeks of uncreative, which i agree with you that they're lazy.
So it's no more stylized than the switch from just Play Arts to Play Arts Kai.
