Bandai Cut the production so a lot of pre-orders were cancelled too and all but those who ordered it directly from bandai in the first few weeks got fucked. So people who ordered it pretty early or through middlemen got shafted hard and thus the price went sky fucking high in addition to the webshop BS. Now why did Bandai do this, you ask? Well there are theories (QC problems, underwhelming performance of delta merch maybe...) All we know is that the line got cut and the Kairos might just be one of the rarest Macross toys ever now.
