Vinyl bits were an absolute bitch to paint and I have some experience painting vinyl. Even the discontinued Mr Resin Primer which is the best for vinyl as far as I know went all gooey after a day over bits that were prepainted (bare vinyl was fine), so I had so strip everything. Then I basically misted primer, surfacer, paint and flat topcoat (all Creos, any other brand would turn into sticky mess). Then I had to get water based acrylic washes just for these bits (Vallejo washes deserve their own separate rant) and even then the paintjob still would rub off if you looked at it funny.
If I had another couple weeks or so I would recast all vinyl bits in resin and spared myself all the aggravation.
