>>7556970I know you poorfag collectors don't have access to these toylines, but this is exactly why you shouldn't try to talk shit about lines you'll never touch, muchless ever see in person.
DCC's paint methods are exactly the same as Hasbro's, as mentioned earlier
>>7556686, because these Bandai's low resolution sticker technology isn't expensive and is so cheap even Hasbro uses it for children toys in conjunction with traditional paint apps
I'm using this ML because my Harley's white face can be misconstructed for bare plastic when they use the white as highlights.
See all these little dots all over the face? They're done to shade the face, breaking it up, to make it look a little more realistic. You see these types of paint apps on high end toys like Hot Toys, Mezco, etc, but these are done with a printered sticker. Same resolution that Bandai uses. Look at his lips. They're a solid color, same as Joker's, because this was done with a spray mask. The eyes? A solid white. There's no pink bare plastic showing though. Same iwth the iris. It's a solid black with blue border. That's a tampograph. Those white highlights, the greens, and blacks to make it look like an eyeball does? That's part of hte low res sticker. Again, note how large those specks are.
Now look at the eyebrows. It's a mixture of various colors, but note the edges of the eyebrows. See how it's lighter? near the top? That's a feathered airbrush app, not dots from the low res sticker because the stickers are too low resolution to go finer.
More paint is being used by DCC and Hasbro than you see on most of Bandai's realistic figures. They're relying almost solely on the low res sticker, which is why their faces look grainy and washed out, because there's nothing else to it. There's a wide gulf between these two methods.
