I take it you don't collect other collector lines? NECA went from $25 to $30 in about the same time.
They're not selling place of mass market $20 lines like Hasbro or horrible Mattel shit because WalMart is squeezing them by the balls to not go over the psychological factor of toys being inexpensive.
Their prices go up if their cost goes up just like every collector line out there.

Might as well be saying that Acid Rain's competition is Mattel's Jurassic Park line or these horrendously overpriced Multiverse figures. The differences in quality, engineering, paint, etc are waay higher and the price shows that.
