By my estimation, the former owner of this collection started collecting sometime around the mid 90's and stopped in 2000. I really don't know why this woman hoarded so many Barbies and just left them to rot in the basement. Did she think that they were some kind of financial investment for the future? That sure as hell didn't pan out. Still, you'd think after awhile she'd get rid of some her collection as it grew to big. But hey, that's hoarders for you.
