>>9746776from a purely financial level I can see why you wouldn't want to upgrade the 80th for the mafex. same goes for ironman and every other figure. like people who keep dragon stars of certain characters instead of upgrading to the shf.
objectively however it is a vastly superior figure in everyway. I hate my 80th thor. Always have. The head sculpt is trash. the pins are unsightly, the crotch is janky, the thigh cuts ugly. If just replacing the horrible cape was enough i'd have done it, but it's really a case of trying to polish a turd.
one of the biggest issues is the hair and how it limits the ability to even have him posed looking up so he can fly. The lack of alt. hands is also a massive downside. the figure practically comes with nothing.
i can not wait to dump it in the trash when the mafex finally arrives, but that's just me.
