they increase in grit from sand to polish but theyre a bit large for some stuff.
ive yet to try smaller thinner sticks, some model companies make sticks but theyre more expensive.
you should also have al grades of wet/dry sand paper.
on top of that you should have a full set if micromesh polishing cloths
these can be used to get scratches out of clear parts.
for some awkward sanding a fiberglass brush is recommended.
if I was on a budget the wet and dry sandpaper would be my choice purchase because it can be used in so many ways, stuck to a lollypop stick for example.
