>>10247344I had a whole response typed up but I lost it. Basically the PR line is decent overall for articulation and accessories, but issues like incorrect scaling (like, egregiously so), QC troubles, and inconsistent paint applications really hold the line back. Of the 12 teams they’ve completed (or plan to complete, including leaked figures), there’s not a single one where they got every detail consistent. Belts, helmet outlines, Morphers, neck and glove details, even stuff like the yellow plastic they used for the same team’s weapons, there’s always 1-4 figures that break the pattern. Alien Rangers might be the first that doesn’t have any screw ups, but it’s also a box set of 5, and they still managed to screw up the Psychos’ belts.
Remember when the Walgreens fantastic four finally got completed, and everyone noticed Sue Storm has a different shade of turquoise than the rest? Or how Retro Johnny has a different shade of blue than the rest of the team that was in the wave proper? Imagine that, for every single release. It’s super nitpicky, I know, but at the same time, the appeal is in collecting the team, and the results usually boil down to someone getting lazy with design specifications.
