>>9578973This may sound harsh and I really don't mean to coz you sound open to discussion, but you aren't entitled a doll just because you like it. Dolls are a luxury, not a necessity.
As
>>9579111 said, your assumption that Volks is a big brand is also inherently a bit flawed, because you're thinking of "big brand" compared to a 1-2 person operation, which are the instagram artists who make dolls.
Volks has a couple hundred employees. Fairyland has like, 20 employees.
In Australia, Volks would still be considered a "small business" and not a big business
.
Compare this to Mattel and Barbie, legally defined big businesses, where they're sitting on 32,000 employees as of 2020. Their revenue in 2020 was 4.5 billion dollars. Do you think Volks is making even close to 1 billion dollars?
The idea that Volks aren't "artist" dolls or aren't "small companies" is just a justification that people use to get something expensive they want through an illegal means.
And yeah I may think Danny is a cringe idiot and the idea of him being popular in the community makes me squick, but that doesn't mean he or his handful of employees deserve to have their work stolen.
