>>7130580I came into this money sinkhole through FA:Gs and I've always liked the thought of shinkis and wanted one, but I can never justify buying one no matter how cheap I find them. I'm down for the joints, the screwhole, sticc bodies, the toy construction instead of model kits, but there's just this slight jankiness and outdated quality to the molds and plastic that make them less appealing than what I think of when I see the art and photos.
All of that is to say that I really wish the shinki MDs would've gone the full way and embraced the look of classic Shinki but improved them and brought them up to modern standards, but as it is its just another riff on the MD body with a lot of the features and designs built in to the mold and less of this blank body parts attach to. Its totally fine, it makes more sense to use existing technology and it means more accurate art protrayals, but it just leaves them as just more standard MDs as supposed to a true revival, doesn't help that its new designs (and I suppose it is technically a collab with MD and not its own Shinki line). I'm just wondering where the hell Arnval and her dedicated shinki line are at, this was a lot closer to what I expected.
