So I got a few of these one piece ships, because I like the design even if I have no idea about one piece. In looking at them, they're definitely gonna require panel lining and detail work, so I want to ask some questions here.
1. I've heard people talk about painting and panel lining both before and after assembly. These models are very simple, so would pre panel lining and detailing be best?
2. Checking the order of things here: Detail paint, clear coat, panel line with enamel and thinner, clean up, decals, matte coat. Is that correct?
3. Are there some ok american clear and matte coats? Everyone always recommends tiny, expensive japanese rattlecans or airbrushing but are those japanese clear and matte coats really superior to any of the readily available american ones?
