Anyone else get their Dokuroman skellies yet? I'm a little disappointed, to be honest, but only a little.
+ They are EXTREMELY lightweight, so crazy leaning poses are possible without a stand
+ They hold together way better than I expected
+ Smooth, easy to manipulate joints that are easy to pop in and out
+ They look nice, and are relatively anatomically accurate
+ Elbows, hips, and knees have great ranges of movement
- There is no backwards neck movement at all. They cannot look up even slightly.
- Hinged jaw is a nice extra, but it's a little loose on some and the tooth sculpt is so shallow it might as well not be there, making them look like Mr. Bones.
- Shoulders get maybe 15 degrees of outward movement at best, you will not get much out of them
- GITD one has weak glow--big particles of GITD powder are visible in the plastic under a blacklight.
- Feet are sculpted realistically--this was a mistake. There are two contact points at the heel and mid-foot, and this combined with very small feet makes them surprisingly hard to stand/balance even in basic poses. They should have just gone with an unrealistic, but stable, flat foot.
It sounds like I have more negatives than positives here, but really, I'm not mad at em. They're decent additions to the skelly collection. I just wish they were done a little better. And also I hope OG Dokuroman isn't gone forever, cause those are better toys overall.
