When I think of how BW characters should be updated, I think fully mechanical but it could be a plot thing that they are MORE organic than like even the normal G1 beasts, more rounded and smooth forms
No muscle tissue and hair though like the transmetals robot forms.

May as well complain about comic book outfits these days forgetting half face masks, a million pouches everywhere, and leather jackets over spandex. Some people can't accept that some things are simply a product of their time.
