The Snake Eyes movie may be cancelled because the director, Robert Schwentke, who was hired to make the movie now wants more time to fuck off and do other shit after he wraps up another movie that he's shooting. He was originally supposed to be shooting Snake Eyes right now, but has been screwing around and decided to make a project he really, really wanted to do once actor John Malkovich became available to be in that vanity project.
Paramount is now deciding if they're going to reboot the franchise like they intended with Snake Eyes, or... make GI Joe 3, reviving that old script idea where Roadblock assembles a new team to battle Tomax and Xamot in South America. Joes on the team would include Wild Bill, Barbecue, Doc, Daina, Keel-Haul, and General Flagg.
