I really took a long look and really it's apparent I needed to add some depth to the hull colors because they were way too flat and monotone. Even though weathering and washes will give it more depth it's just easier to modulate it a bit more with an airbrush just by taking some of the base color (XF-9 / XF-7 1:1) and adding some white to lighten it up and some black to darken it up for some shading effects. I'm trying to not go overboard and create an unrealistic contrast but even though it didn't change it to much I think it gives the paint a lot more depth and realism. Going to do the same with the blue and I hope I don't fuck it up too badly.
