The wings in the movie work exactly the same as the Signature collection, otherwise the wing tips wouls be on the sides of the backpack. But what's there is the top of the wings, the red and white stripes.
It's absolutely impossible to have movie accurate wings that work the same way, they're just too long and flat, no space for the wires and inner mechanism. The backpack needs to be thicker too because the wings also need to cross on top of each other to preserve their width. There's just not enough space to work with, the animation cheats a lot.
