>>6870136It's far more useful than a standard ruler. At least have a cheapo plastic version, you can get them for a dollar or two. Ignore the vernier scale though on these though, there's no way they are accurate up to 0.05mm due to how they are manufactured.
Consider whether you need a digital one later.
