>>10215433If it's marketing, it makes sense to continue using Heavy Duty into the movie era, since Spy Troops and Venom Vs Valor both used him. Gotta keep a favorite character around.
And no, Roadblock wouldn't be a favorite character by 2002, because over a decade passed by since he was used during the original line.
Characters like Tunnel Rat also started being used (despite being a nobody in the comic and if he even appeared in the previous cartoons) to see what else kids would like.
It's not like the cartoons even had mainstay characters. I honestly didn't even know about Snake Eyes until i started reading the comic (yes, i got into the comics and cartoon late), because of characters like shipwreck, flint, and duke being used so often. I don't even remember SE being in the DIC show.
>prove before 1983 there was a RoadblockSo how's Captain Marvel doing for DC?
Do you even know why they changed the DC logo?
And how about that WWF?
Fucking nightmares.
And we don't even know what the actual copyright issue was. Could have been litigation, which could have prevented them from stating any details.
Also, 2002/2003 would be when they first filed, not when it's approved.
