Finally got some white, so I started painting in the grooves at the backs of the sails with a mix of that and buff. The question is whether the ridge on the front is best highlighted with more or less pure white, or if I should paint a dark line on each side of them. I'm leaning towards the white. Either way, I'll probably get some varnish, add a drop of white, and spray it all over afterwards to filter things down a bit.
The end result here won't be very good, but still, that's about as good as I can ever get it. Especially since everything I do with them something somewhere goes terribly wrong.
