That's a bummer. Some places have those old sets unopened for ridiculous prices, especially considering the brick quality wasn't as good as it is now. I have been tempted recently by finding the old Recon ODST drop pod on Amazon, it never showed up around here and even though I got the Heroes Lt. Dare I would love to have that pod. I'm not sure I can justify $35+ Cdn for it though.

Yeah I know what you mean, there's really nothing the new pods are useful for except to store the minifig and the bright colors don't help either.
