It was successful enough to have exclusive releases and clear variants. It even had a short tie-in anime that was aired on TV. These guys have the same articulation as Battle Beasts, unique armor for each Beast, and a dice-shooting gimmick in their chests to play a tie-in game.
Diamond also released some hideous Minimate Battle Beasts. I believe they had the actual Battle Beasts license, but their shit was real bad. Armorvors from Glyos are based on Battle Beasts, and subline Rise of the Beasts also takes inspiration from this line.
