And yes, them/they/their/theirs/are all viable singular pronouns used by real people, often when not knowing who the item or action was done by, nightshade using they/them pronouns just means that they are a robot, not a man robot, not a woman robot, just, a singular, distinct, robot.
Don't like it? Either boycott the franchise as it grows beyond 1984 or go shoot at Hasbro executives for allowing it.
