Like take Superman from McFarlane. I skipped every supposed "classic" Superman he made because they all looked off, or were defective in some way. It took them around 5 years of releasing bad Supermen for them to release one that caught my eye. That was Silver Age Supes, which IMO did everything right (within the confines of a McFarlane figure anyway, I'm sure imports have better range). So I won't need to buy another Supes now, especially since the line is dead and I have no intention of starting again with Mattel.
