>>10053124Brah, the desperation is pretty high when how you're trying to derail the thread to make meta comments, instead of actually proving Kaiyodo didn't just steal joints from McFarlane and weren't following the standards set up by Toy Biz/MCfarlane years before the Revoltech line even existed.
>>10052616>Kaiyodo is a weird company that has assets other than selling toysLotta cmopanies do/did more than just "primary thing". Bandai, Konami, Marvel, NECA, Good Smile, McFarlane, Hasbro, Mattel, Acclaim, etc etc etc.
It's actually not weird at all, considering the amount of companies that do more than just sell toys.
Point still stands though. They went from licensing and selling dozens of high profile products every quarter, having an international arm to sell their shit, and now they're down to a few products per quarter and having almost no international presence.
If Hasbro suddenly halved production on Transformers and Marvel Legends, without increasing production on other toylines, and stopped selling toys directly to Japan, what do you think is happening at Hasbro? This is your test at how screwed up your brain is on your fanboyism.
>>10052638bugman or Krokodil-addict identified. Hard to believe there's actually a paid propagandist posting on /toy/
>>10052997Yes, that is a high quality likeness. Youre trying to judge it based on 22 years of extra experience, but a shit ton of effort was obviously put into that figure and was considered high quality back then. Just to compare, here's what a Hot Toys looked like 3 years after that GG was released.
Again, even OP says you have to start somewhere, and the fact is that companies like Toy Biz and McFarlane were the ones that started the trend that everyone copied.
And no, i wouldnt consider that Toby to be good. Even back then that was considered flawed.
