A bunch of Chinese companies have taken the cloth figure angle and done it better, and cheaper. They managed to actually downscale Hot Toys type high end 1/6 figures with articulation.
Right now Mezco seems to have retreated into doing 60's looks. Which is ok but not quite what I wanted either. I'd prefer the 90's-2000's take on the classic looks where the colors/style is a bit more dynamic(think Bagley Spider-man vs John Romita)- I'm sure there's a market for the 60's stuff but it just makes them feel more like Mego.
