>>8067837>>8067453>>8067448>>8066432>>8066885>>8067022>>8067310 I’ve thought about this before. Each piece is probably inert and not sentient, but slowly, create a consciousness the closer they are to being completed. Like, you’re 01 Tahu will slowly “wake up” the more pieces are added until it reaches enough mass (like 70-80%) that it’s recognizable as Tahu. That’s the point it comes alive. Mocs work under the same premise except instead of it being recognizable as a set, it’s the closer the creator is to finishing it.
Dismantling a set/moc reverses the process. If they loose enough mass they become inert. This can be reminded however, since it’s consiosnes is a gestalt and not tied to any one piece, replacing parts is an option. Fully switching pieces with another type of piece is also an option since that piece isn’t alive on its own and adding one or two doesn’t add anything to the whole being. Dismantling and rebuilding a bionicle probably resets/kills whatever consciousness it had
[spoiler:lit] What happens when you Ship of Theseus a one though? It’s a horrifying question. [/spoiler:lit]
