Hello LG!
Now that it appears that the revival of Lego Space is closer than ever I present to you the following challenge:
If you had the chance to create a new space theme - what would it be? How would you do it?
For the sake of this exercise I propose that you don't constrain yourself with all technical aspects such as appeal to kids and price points for sets. It's a creative exercise meant to display the artistic spirit of LG.
Points to consider when describing your theme:
- Main color, secondary color (or colors), canopy color.
-Minifigure color, gear, and overall aesthetic elements such as printing and details.
-Theme lore and central point - what's the back story, is it an antagonist driven theme? is it exploration? Who's doing what and why are they doing it? Are there multiple factions?
-Main play features of sets/cool additions - I'm not sure how to express this well so I'll give examples. Does your theme have magnets like M-Tron? Does it have modularity like Blacktron I? Does it use lights and sounds? If so - what kind. Be descriptive.
Pic related is the prototype astronaut I've made for such a theme. It would feature brown and gray as the main colors with trans yellow as the canopy color of choice.
They would be primarily explorers, moving through a new area of space where the ruins of an ancient civilization can be found on most worlds, indicating a once great stellar empire.
Something went wrong at one point for them and as the explorers slowly piece the truth together they come to a dark and terrible realization.
