A brief review. The toy is beautiful. After my only MB QC issues with Hi-Nu last year (it was rough) I've been very wary of MB, but my love for 00 has pushed me through getting some. I'll say I've noticed no QC issues. The paint apps appear perfect. However the pieces are large and unwieldy and I did accidentally hit two piece together and caused a small amount of paint transfer, but it's virtually unnoticeable with the massive size. It sits on the base mostly securely. As long as you the base isn't angled for the thing pointing upwards, it'll never just fall off. The Exia mounting could be more secure though. It attaches at a GN drive clips into the base, a small arm to the bottom of the hips, and the feet loosely attach in. The worst part is the arm to the hips. There's a section that can be removed for some fucking reason, so if it slips out, the GN drive attachment will also fail. He fell out once on me as I was making some minor adjustments to how he sit in there, but I've left him alone for a full day and he's held fine.
I'm not gonna bother with trying every arrangement. I don't care about giant sword backpack, or having just the main core. I spent almost 600 bucks on this, I'm gonna use every part I can. The arms have a good range of movement, with several secure hardpoints so you can move it around fairly freely. There's a lot of small bits across the toy that act as buttons, or slide around to move pieces and make connections even more secure. The level of engineering and how well it's hidden is incredible. There's a fuckload of hardpoints to slap other guns and whatnot on. I may pull out my Type-F just to see what I can do with what I have.
The size can also not be understated. In this pic it's about 22 inches long, 15 inches high, and 18 inches wide. You can get much wider and higher with the sword articulation, but I haven't pushed it to the limit.
I have some home stuff to take care of but I'll soon be looking for some very nice display cases.
