>>9453823I think over all Criterion has great packaging, but their Godzilla Showa set is beyond weird. I didn't buy the set because of its extremely oblong shape and packaging. It's huge to boot. Where do you even put it? That doesn't even count the horrible packaging issues that has come to light recently with the disc sliding and scratching. Their regular cardboard slip cases look great and work perfectly fine. I am not sure why Criterion didn't go that route. I assume Criterion wanted to make the packaging more "deluxe" so people felt more comfortable about the price of the set
