If youre going for operations, scrap the 2 track main and go to a single main and put a few passing sidings in that will fit the longest train you plan on running. That way you have to schedule meets for your trains. Having two trains running in opposite directions will create some interesting scenarios. Not to mention, your passing sidings double as run around tracks. You could have your 20th Century on a loop and have a local job switching customers that will need to clear up so the passenger train can go by. Say your passenger train has to make 3 loops and it will be at its destination, then your local job will have 15 minutes to work before it comes back in the opposite direction and will have to work around it.
