Batman v Superman? Ben Hurr? TMNT Out of the Shadows? There's no guarantee anymore, Hollywood has dropped anything that isn't a big budget franchise entry.
Inevitably one is going to have to lose, but when you put all of your eggs in one basket, you're bound to screw yourself with one drop. The Transformers Movies have done continuously worse in America with every entry, so unless China and the rest really spend big, it's gonna swallow the studio like a sinkhole.
Hell, this movie pretty much needs to pick up the slack since Paramount's other films didn't rake in the dough.
