Of course it helped in my case that I don't find too many of the earlier figures all that thrilling on their own, and I was mainly pumped to get stuff from the huge triple wave stock sale from the previous year that I passed on.
>>8878889I'd say focus on the more recent waves and have your expectations set on those, but list your favorite old figures just in case. It is useful to have a full wishlist around, even if you aren't willing to dish out $100+ for "grail" figures on the 2nd hand market. It might also help you realize you can get use out of a figure you wouldn't have otherwise wanted.
