I simply don't care for the overall shape language used when designing the Astray. Nothing on it really looks good to me aside from maybe the vents or boosters or whatever on the back of the shoulders. This is a weird thing to say, but the feet always reminded me of ugly hiking shoes or like...tennis shoes a dad would wear.
I also never liked that it had a big samurai sword. Like

I'm honestly not trying to troll or shit on it arbitrarily though. I have actually tried to gain an appreciation for it over the years. I haven't succeeded yet, but the RG is the closest I've come to actually being able to like it. I've even been toying with the idea of buying it lately! In the end though, I just think the Astray rubs some folks the wrong way, and I am one of them.
