If it looks like it would be at home in Busou Shinki, Strike Witches, Infinite Stratos and the like it's A-okay. Things that are clearly robotic like 1000 Toys Synthetic Human, Polynians, female mechs like the Nobel Gundam or female transformers are not mecha musume by this scope and should be posted in other threads. Alien Attack's Optional Girl is totally cool though, super underrated figure.
