Venom's okay, especially for your first ML, but his articulation (shoulders, hips) are a bit lacking

As someone who DESPISES the Hyperion body, lemme just say Venom isn't bad in person. I was really on the fence about it but I took a chance and I'm pretty glad I did. He looks good when you get him into a decent pose.

My other big gripe about it was the heads. Big tongue head is alright, but my favorite look is honestly the creepy McFarlane look, and the sculpt they did on that one is terribad. I recently bought a downsized recast of the Marvel Select McFarlane head, which is perfect, and once I paint it up I think I'll be 100% happy with this figure.

I may be biased because I've wanted a classic Legends Venom for a while, but he's damned solid. I kind of prefer the way the Select scales with Legends Spider-Man and Carnage, but this new Venom's size isn't half bad. I haven't owned any version of this mold before, but it's pretty good as Venom. What really makes it is the ab crunch and neck joint.

My only complaint is that the white spider insignia on both the chest and back is a little blended with the black, other than that, the paint apps on both faces are on point. Not complaining, but why is there both a thigh cut and a calve cut? Isn't it a bit redundant?
